Great book! Simple but effective.

I actually did not buy this book on Amazon, but I didn't know where else to write a review for this book. I got this book just about a week ago and I'm so glad. I got it with the intention of using it mainly as a supplement to other learning tools, but after reading through some of it I already feel like it's more useful than any other textbook or internet program that I've used. What I love most about it is that it is simple but effective. It's not loaded with an overwhelming mixture of fonts and colors and pictures that some textbooks have, which often end up being distracting and sometimes confusing rather than helpful. It has the information I need, clear and to the point. It has three sections; grammar, which is broken up into categories such as nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, conjugations, etc.; verbs, with is a compilation of various verbs and all their conjugations; and, vocabulary, which is broken up into topics such as career, school, health, and so on. This is my first review on Amazon and likely will be one of the very few I will write...I just had to do it because this book has been so helpful. The only thing I would have liked to be different about this book is that I wish they would have switched some of the verbs for other more useful verbs. For example, they have words such as abolish and hunt but they didn't have some other more common words I was looking for. Other than that, great book!
Oh, and a side note: this book is not necessarily designed to lead you in the learning process. You'll have to find your own way with this one. But hey, that could be a good thing!

Finally! Spanish clearly presented.

I took Spanish in high school. That was 50 years ago. I've made a few short trips, vacation and mission, to Mexico, the most recent having been 15 years ago. My slight Spanish speaking ability was worse than rusty. The solution to this was 1. the free online lessons of Duolingo and 2. This book. I already had Spanish learning resources and had reviewed many others. Nothing I had or could find compared with this book. I didn't want dialogues to memorize or tedious review questions; I wanted all the information simply and clearly presented and this is the only book that I could find that did exactly that. If you've had a little Spanish, this book will put on a fast track to mastery.
