Lennon sisters, thank you for your diligence over a 30 year period, putting your life to paper in your separate voices. Your efforts gave us your fans and reading public a very uplifting picture of what life was like for you, pain and sorrows included. By the end I felt I knew you and very much admired your parents and the job that did with you and all 11 children, and then how you in turn followed their example of putting family first, in spite of all the fame you could have experienced, and even over and above the blessings that you were given in the world of entertainment. God has richly blessed you for being faithful. Just know you have blessed all of us too... and amazingly continue to do that to this very day!

Buyer Beware

First of all, this writer's real name is Dario Salas Sommer and he's from Chile. He claims to have knowledge of the secret teachings of Hermes Trismegistus, an ancient Egyptian mystic. Interestingly enough, there is another John Baines, an Englishman, who is REALLY an Egyptologist, but has nothing to do with these books. That's not a good sign.
The second thing that should make you lift an eyebrow is the fact that Mr. Salas is a bit of a cottage industry in his native Chile and elsewhere, as the Founder and Spiritual Master of the Dario Salas Institute For Spiritual Science. Which undoubtedly you can gain enlightenment from. For the right amount of money, of course.
There is nothing in this book that cannot be discovered in other, older, and more legitimate works. The material in this book that isn't in other older works is not worth reading, because Mr. Salas has MADE IT UP out of whole cloth.
Give this one a pass. Try The Kybalion, by "The Three Initiates" instead.

It's a very sweet story of selflessness. My daughter loves the touch and feel of the hat, mittens and scarf. It's one of the ones I enjoy reading over and over.

adorable hedgehog book

There i was today, innocently walking past the picture book display when this adorable little hedgehog (an animal i have always wanted to adopt by the by, unfortunately the cats will not allow me to do so) unavoidably beckons to me from the cover of One Winter's Day (a touch and feel book) by M. Christina Butler and illustrated by Tina Macnaughton.

This is an incredibly cute book as the little hedgehog makes his way through the woods once the wind blows his nest away, playing good Samaritan to every poor little creature he meets. Of course their is a moral (well not really a moral~but it does show that being kind and sweet and selfless and all that will reward you with good karma~maybe saying that life is fair even when we all know that it really isn't) at the end and again i question the wisdom of over-adorableness of wild animals in tales for children but this one just wins over that "awe" factor in me (and tells that cynic to go sulk in the corner for a while).

Beautifully drawn and written

I've read many books with my 14-month old nephew, and looked at many more for him to try. This was one of the most beautifully drawn books. The board book pages are durable, easy for him to turn, and interesting for him to feel (the hat, scarf, and mittens are made in a fuzzy texture). And most importantly - I like the kindness of the story and the cozy feel it evokes, so we'll be sure to read it many times!

With so little information about the original production of The Rocky Horror Show available, Bourton's book is a treat for any fan of The Rocky Horror Show. However, while his voice does perfectly illustrate his wonderful anecdotes, it feels as if there is no strong adhesive which holds together Bourton's wonderful adventure.
Grammatical and formatting errors abound, and it is clear that this book needs some heavy editing to fix its glaring problems. There is no spacing between chapters on the Kindle and no table of contents. The book also lacks the photos which are supposed to be included.

This book was absolutely fantastic! You get to kind of finally see what went on to create the biggest cult phenomenon in history, and from a perspective of the original rocky! I think it is definetly a book every die-hard rocky horror fan should read! I would rate it higher if there wasn't a 5 star limit.
